INVITATION TO BIDDERS
HAULING OF TRASH FROM THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN COMPACTOR TO A DESIGNATED SITE
Sealed bids addressed to the Service Director will be received at the Office of the Service Director, Dept. Of Public Service, 3300 Fairlawn Service Drive, Fairlawn, Ohio until 9:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time on December 10, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the HAULING OF TRASH FROM THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN COMPACTOR TO A DESIGNATED SITE.
Envelopes containing the Sealed Bid shall be clearly marked on the front of the envelope as follows:
“Sealed Bid for HAULING OF TRASH FROM THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN COMPACTOR TO A DESIGNATED SITE is enclosed herewith to be opened December 10, 2024, at the Office of the Service Director of Fairlawn, Ohio at 9:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time”
For convenience a preprinted envelope stating such is included in the bid package.
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS (including bid forms) AND GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS may be obtained from Fairlawn Dept. Of Public Service, 3300 Fairlawn Service Drive, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333, (330) 668-9550 during normal business hours Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a bond or certified check drawn on a solvent bank made payable to the City of Fairlawn, Ohio, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bidder’s Proposal, conditioned upon execution of the contract and the furnishing of a performance bond in the event the contract is awarded to the bidder. The total amount indicated in the bid bond shall be expressed as dollars and cents and shall include the bid including all alternates submitted which increase the bid. The bond amount shall be equal to or exceed ten percent (10%) of this total amount.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Summit County and the City of Fairlawn, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the awarding authority the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby.
